Bring maths to life with this engaging and highly motivating Year 5/6 enterprise challenge! In this cross-curricular maths and business project, pupils work in pairs to create their own mini business using a £20 budget, with the aim of making the highest possible profit. Perfect for upper KS2 maths, reasoning, financial literacy, or enterprise week activities.

This resource develops key maths skills through a real-life context, helping pupils apply addition, subtraction, multiplication, budgeting and profit calculations in a meaningful and memorable way. Pupils must carefully plan costs, set realistic prices, calculate income and profit, and justify their decisions mathematically before pitching their ideas to an AI “business judge”.
