This (first) 100 High Frequency Word Assessment set is designed to check which words learners can read when used with the word cards (included). The Checklist can also be used on its own to keep track of which of these words learners can write (spell).

100 High-Frequency Words: Assessment Checklist
This sheet has been designed as a quick, easy reference to check which high-frequency words a learner can read (or spell). Each word is numbered and this number matches the same word on the word card.

High-Frequency Word Cards

• Pages 1 - 6

Print sheets onto card and separate the words on each page following dotted lines. Order cards numerically from 1 to 100 ready to check which words a learner knows.

Alternatively the word card sheets could remain as complete sheets and a separate piece of card could be placed on top and moved down to reveal the next word on the list to check it.

Spare Word Cards (Included)
