25 x BIG QUESTIONS!

These are designed to get students thinking about bigger issues, with zero preparation.

These can be put on the board for a few minutes to get students to think and discuss the question. Then the prompts and questions can appear to prompt discussions aroudn the issue. Lasts 10-15 minutes usually, we do this once a week during formtime as part of the form programme of activities.

The BIG QUESTIONS are:

  5. Does prison work?
  6. Footballers or nurses - who should earn more?
  7. Are videogames causing violence?
  8. Online friends or real friends?

  11. Should healthcare be free?
  12. Should humans all speak the same language?
  13. Parents or celebrities - which influence you more?
  14. Are we ruining the earth?
  15. When are we ‘adults’?
  16. What age is best to get a mobile phone?
  17. Should we change the school day?
  18. Do we need a school uniform?
  19. Should we have exams?
  20. Is it important to be popular?
  21. Nature or nurture - which has the most effect?
  22. Is eating meat murder?
  23. Should we close the dark web?
  24. Should we study more vocational subjects?
  25. Should social media influencers be regulated?

Colourful and easy to understand layout and language make these accessible to all students and let all students participate in the theme.
