This resources is designed at using dual coding to help build pupil’s memorty retrieval. It is a fantastic resource to use for both revision and to teach new content.

There are 4 lessons which cover the following learning objectives:

LESSON 1

  • What is a neutralisation reaction?
  • What is universal indicator used for?
  • What do hazard symbols mean?
  • How do you produce pure dry crystals from a base and an acid?

LESSON 2

  • How do you produce pure dry crystals from a base and an acid?
  • What types of ions are released by acids and alkalis?
  • How is the reactivity series related to making soluble salts?
  • How do you name salts formed?

**Lesson 3

  • What is the pH scale and how do you identify the pH of a substance?
  • What is the difference between alkalis and bases?
  • How is the reactivity series related to making soluble salts?
  • How do you name salts formed?
  • How do you calculate uncertainty?

Lesson 4

  • What are exothermic and endothermic reactions?
  • How do you investigate temperature change?
  • How do you balance symbol equations?
  • How do you write ionic equations?
  • How do you reduce risks and hazards when using chemicals?

Wonderful - so clear! Follows great teaching pedagogy by assigning pretty much every concept with a series of images. Fully animated slides, Clean and clear layout to reduce cognitive load. Gold standard resource. My only ask would be that there was an independent task. Written or something. But considering these slides are fully animated (which i appreciate takes time) This is good value for money.
