This lesson is an Understanding the World lesson for the Kings, Queens and Castles topic in EYFS.
The previous week children are introduced to who the King is and what his job is and this week they are introduced to what the army is.
We have focused this around the King’s coronation although it could be adapted to another significant event.
The children love making hats and flags and taking part in a royal parade.
