These High Support AAC Fantasy Character Sheets are designed to support expressive and receptive language through structured, motivating role-play. Each sheet provides a clear communication framework using symbols, core vocabulary, and themed fringe words to help children build functional sentences during play-based speech and language intervention.
The resource includes four fantasy character roles:
Archer
Mage
Fighter
Healer
Each character sheet features:
A large space to draw or add a character image
A simple sentence strip (e.g. can swing a sword, can say spells)
A “What’s in their backpack?” section to support vocabulary and categorisation

Core verbs (go, help, stop, run, fight, hide)
Pronouns (I / you)
Wh-questions (who, what, where, why, how)
Descriptors (fast, slow, quietly)
