Regular practice using these resources will help to build speed and accuracy and they’ll make an engaging change from more worksheets. ALL ANSWERS INCLUDED.
This BUNDLE includes four 36-card sets of addition and subtraction mental maths self-check write and wipe trail cards to be laminated for pupils to complete with wipeable pens, plus 3 Bingo / Lotto Games and 2 Jigsaw Puzzles.
SELF-CHECK TRAIL CARDS
36 cards for each of:
Addition and subtraction facts / number bonds within 20
Adding and subtracting to 50
Adding and subtracting 9, 10 and 11
Adding and subtracting multiples of 10
They can be used by individuals or you could have pairs or small groups racing against each other to complete trails accurately. Very flexible and great for starters, early finisher activity etc.
Starting at the top illustration and working their way around the card in a spiral, children write the answer to each calculation in the box, creating a running total as they go. The final answer is printed at the end of the trail, beside the illustration in the middle of the card, so they can see if they have correctly completed it. If not, children can check their work to see where they have gone wrong.
Answer cards can be used by the pupils themselves or by the teacher to see at a glance where pupils have gone wrong. Print and laminate if required.
3 BINGO / LOTTO GAMES (Adding and Subtracting to 20 / Adding and Subtracting to 50, Adding and Subtracting 9, 10 and 11)
Print and laminate the 6 boards and the calculation cards for each game. Players shuffle cards and put them in a pile to take in turn and check if they have the answer on their board.
JIGSAW PUZZLES (Adding and Subtracting multiples of 10)
2 x 24 piece puzzles in PDF format to print, laminate and cut up to make a fun group activity. Puzzle 1 is more challenging, with some bridging across 100 required, while Puzzle 2 only contains numbers to 100. The solution for each puzzle is also included.
I hope your pupils enjoy using these activities. If you can leave me a review I would be very grateful.
