In this activity, students will practice adding and subtracting mixed numbers (with unlike denominators) as they create a colorful masterpiece! Students will color their answers on the mandala with the indicated color to reveal a beautiful, colorful mandala. Even unmotivated students enjoy coloring, so give them an opportunity to practice their basic arithmetic skills while having fun coloring! This activity is excellent for sub plans, enrichment, extra practice, early finishers, and just plain fun. As an added bonus, the finished products make beautiful classroom decor!
