Addition L02 Four in a Row | Two Digit is one level from a structured 26-level Addition progression, designed to build fluency and confidence.

This printable maths resource gives pupils focused practice at one carefully chosen stage of addition. It is part of a wider 26-level pathway that moves pupils from early addition fluency through to decimals, directed numbers, fractions, algebraic addition, standard form and surd-style addition.

The rationale behind the pathway is that pupils make better progress when practice is targeted, sequenced and achievable. Instead of giving pupils a random mixed worksheet, each level focuses on a specific point in the progression. This helps teachers match practice to pupil need, support intervention, build confidence and avoid overwhelming pupils with too many jumps in difficulty.

This individual level is useful for:

starter activities
intervention
homework
catch-up
tutoring
cover lessons
independent practice
KS2 to KS3 transition
GCSE foundation fluency support
retrieval practice

The resource is low-preparation and printable. It can be used with individual pupils, small groups or a whole class depending on need. It is particularly useful when a pupil needs secure practice at this specific stage before moving on to the next level.

This resource is sold individually as one level from the full 26-level Addition progression.
