This worksheet task allows students to develop their understanding of additive and multiplicative patterns, linked to both ratio and algebra.
Students will review patterns with 6 real life scenarios and identify whether the pattern is additive or multiplicative in nature. Once determined, they will solve x in each scenario. For example, for every £ 1, there are X grams.
This activity also comes with an additional challenge to provoke higher order reasoning and develop mathematical thinking.
Note: there are 2 versions of the task, in Pound Sterling (£) and US Dollars ($), to use as you prefer.
This download provides both the Editable PPT Version and the PDF Version.
