This PowerPoint interactive activity is to be used on the IWB but not as a slide show. There are 2 games on 2 slides that can be adjusted to change the algebraic expressions. Students can take it in turns to come up to the IWB and finding matching pairs. This an engaging activity for KS3 and KS4 students to practice and understand algebraic expressions. A starter activity where pupils must match up simplified and non-simplified algebraic expressions.

This is a lovely starter where students must try to reveal two expressions which are the same by remembering their position in the grid. The questions test understanding of simplifying expressions and also allow you to teach some memory techniques. You could use it as a plenary when studying simplifying expressions too. Thank you for sharing.
