This is a project ideally for year 7 as an introduction to the workshop. It could be adapted for other years.

Pupils design and make a money box based on an animal design of their choice. The box is made out of pine, MDF, plywood and a HIPs lid. There are two wood joints a comb joint and a dowel joint.

There are 14 resources in this project and some things could be used in other projects.

I taught this to a wide range of students and they all loved it.

I do also have some predesigned animal parts drawn out on 2D Design wich I cannot download on TES. Email me if you want me to send this to you (sarahwollerton@hotmail.com).
