An exciting, immersive, cross-curricular challenge where pupils take on the role of Antarctic scientists tasked with designing and building their very own research station!

Working with a starting budget of 100,000 AED, pupils must make a series of important decisions about their expedition, including transport, location, accommodation, energy sources, food, water and waste management.

Every decision comes with financial costs, advantages, disadvantages and XP (experience points), encouraging children to think critically, weigh up options and consider the environmental impact of their choices.

Pupils then design their research station on grid paper, before presenting their final designs for judging and the chance to win additional prize money for their budget!
