I am an experienced head of department with a BA Hons in Design and Technology Secondary Education, and I do use all the resources available in my own department areas.

This template has been designed to allow you to map the coverage of the AQA Food Preparation and Nutrition (8585) curriculum against your department’s medium term plans (UOWs). The map is split into six clear sections, as per the AQA (8585) specification:
3.1 – Food Preparation skills
3.2 –Food Nutrition and Health,
3.3 –Food Science,
3.4 –Food Safety,
3.5 –Food Choice,
3.6 – Food Provenance.

Each section (Tab) has the specification content running down the left hand side and space for you to enter your medium term plan (UOW) names across the top. Simply review and plot your current coverage on the map. This can then be used to develop and improve curriculum coverage year on year.
