Working with students targeted a 4: this has helped them understand they can connect the Prelude extract with a much easier poem, Ozymandias.
I have suggested that any nature based question can lead back to Ozymandias and that they need only memorize 5 quotes from Ozymandias total 20 words to be able to craft an essay which will ’ smash AO2.
I do not think Prelude is an easy poem, and reflecting on some students grumbles have put together how expressing a negative reader response can not only be managed but help marks be awarded.
Reminding that marks are to be awarded positively by examiners!
This took two hours with a lower level class, and is the revised PPT after teaching amended to what worked for them: and I took out that what did not!
