A series of 9 lessons (although probably 11 depending on the ability of the class) that covers all of the rivers portion of the Physical Landscapes topic for AQA A Geography. I teach a top/ mid level class, the lessons therefore are targeted at stretch and challenge at a high level.

The river Tees is used as a case study for both the landforms and flood defences making it accessible and clearer to the students. Each lesson contains a range of detailed information and activities with some differentiation. These lessons have been adapted from the old GCSE which have been used for the last two years by an experienced and thriving Geography department. Two lessons have been used for OFSTED inspections which have received very positive feedback.

Access to the AQA textbook is needed for two of the activities. An OS map of the river Tees would be useful although definitely not necessary for the lessons.
