This presentation introduces A Level students to key practitioners associated with Rambert Dance Company between 1996-2002 and explores the stylistic features of their works.

The specifications states that Rambert Dance Company is a compulsory Area of Study and that students should be able to answer questions based on their understanding of 3 practitioners (including Bruce) and their works, including knowledge of their movement style.

The presentation includes a timeline with key dates from 1966-2002 (with slides to print off for students to fill in the gaps), information about the practitioners stylistic features and an example exam question at the end for students to attempt once they have explored these practitioners. If you have works on DVD by these practitioners, I would study these alongside the PowerPoint.

The practitioners referred to here are:
Norman Morris
Robert North
Richard Alston
Christopher Bruce
