This A-Level Psychology Revision Pathways resource is designed to help students revise more independently and strategically by providing differentiated revision routes based on their current working grade.

The document breaks revision into three clear pathways:
• Building a Secure Pass (D–E)
• Targeting C–B
• Pushing for A–A*

Each pathway includes:

  • Clear revision priorities
  • Structured revision activities
  • Exam-focused skills practice
  • Success criteria linked to grade progression

The resource encourages students to move beyond passive revision by focusing on retrieval practice, application, PEEL evaluation structure, timed exam technique and effective use of mark schemes/examiner reports.

Students are guided on how to use their own class notes more effectively, while also developing the specific skills needed to progress to higher grade bands.

This resource is particularly useful for:

  • Independent revision
  • Easter/mock/exam preparation
  • Sixth form intervention sessions
  • Tutor time study support
  • Homework or flipped learning tasks

Suitable for AQA A-Level Psychology, but adaptable for other exam boards.
