
A pair of fully resourced lessons covering AQA GCSE Combined Science (Chemistry) sections 5.1.2.1 and 5.1.2.2 – The Periodic Table and The Development of the Periodic Table.
Each lesson begins with a retrieval starter designed to revisit key content from elsewhere in the AQA course or from previous lessons in the C1 topic.
The lessons include a range of engaging activities to deliver and reinforce the content, such as exam-style questions, quick-check tasks, and concept-checking questions to assess understanding throughout.
The first lesson includes practice questions on calculating relative atomic mass using isotopes.
The second lesson features a comprehension activity to develop literacy and deepen understanding of Mendeleev’s work.
