How every booklet works: twelve weeks, each planned to take about 45 minutes in five short chunks: word work with retrieval from earlier weeks, a short reading, check questions, a “think deeper” task, and original exam-style practice. Support for the exam-practice question is withdrawn on purpose across each booklet: a full paragraph plan in the early weeks, the shape only in the middle weeks, and little or none at the end. Each booklet also has two short research tasks, each with a printed alternative so no internet is needed.
Support and accessibility: support pages in every booklet (Tier 3 vocabulary with pronunciation, number bank, sentence starters and gap-fill versions of the hardest answers), a student tracker and a parents’ and carers’ page. The layout is dyslexia-friendly throughout: Verdana, 1.5 line spacing, left-aligned, no italics.
Teacher material: every booklet includes a full answer section, success criteria for the extended questions, a specification map, a class tracking grid and a sources list. Each also has a table of commonly taught figures that are out of date or disputed, with what the evidence now says. Data in each booklet is dated and sourced; the booklets were checked in September–October 2026.
