AQA GCSE Psychology – Development Study Cards

These are my AQA GCSE Psychology Paper 1 Development Study Cards, with 55 study cards covering the full specification for the Development topic, including the key theories, studies and evaluation you need to know.

I made and used these cards during my own GCSE revision to make active recall and self-testing much easier. Many of the key points and phrases are based on past-paper questions and mark schemes, so they’re focused on exam-relevant content.

The cards cover early brain development, nature and nurture, Piaget’s Theory of Cognitive Development, the four stages of development, assimilation and accommodation, Dweck’s Mindset Theory, learning styles and Willingham’s Learning Theory. They also include the required McGarrigle and Donaldson ‘Naughty Teddy’ study and Hughes ‘Policeman Doll’ study.

You’ll receive two versions:

• Printable – 4 cards per A4 page, ready to print and cut out.
• Digital – 1 card per A4 page, ideal for revising on your phone, tablet or laptop.
