Based on a thorough analysis of previous years’ AQA Trilogy examination papers, these May/June predictions are designed to provide students with an additional strategic revision resource when preparing for their examinations.
The predictions are based on an analysis of recurring themes, specification points and question patterns from previous examinations. By identifying areas that have appeared more frequently, students can use the resource to help prioritise and structure their revision, alongside revising the full specification.
It is important to stress that these are predictions, not guarantees. The resource should complement, rather than replace, a comprehensive understanding and revision of the entire syllabus. Students should not assume that a particular topic or specification point will appear on the examination simply because it has been highlighted.
The colour-coded cells show my predictions across the four years of analysis. The numbers within the cells represent the frequency with which that particular specification area has been tested in the papers analysed.
The document is designed to be updated year on year, allowing the analysis to develop as further examination papers become available.
The predictions can also be used as a starting point for teachers to create their own mock-up questions and practice activities, giving students the opportunity to apply their knowledge to specification areas that have been identified for further revision.
Ultimately, the aim is to use the analysis to support more focused, purposeful revision, whilst ensuring students continue to prepare comprehensively for the full AQA specification.
