Area and Volume Seaside Town 3D Shape Nets

Area and volume for Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 (KS2): six printable 3D shape nets that children cut, fold and glue into a seaside town, then measure for area, surface area and volume. A no prep maths pack, 25 pages, with worksheets at three levels and answer keys throughout.

It works because the maths is about something they have just made. Children count the cubes that would fill their own beach hut, measure their own fish and chip shop and argue about which building holds the most. Every length is a whole or half centimetre, so answers are tidy, and the four buildings hold 60, 64, 72 and 75 cm³, close enough that ordering them takes real thought.
