DEFAULT ATTENDANCE DEFINITIONS
The workbook uses current DfE statistical definitions as editable defaults: persistent absence means 10% or more possible sessions missed; severe absence means 50% or more possible sessions missed. Schools should confirm their own policy and terminology before use.
