This lesson is designed for students that really struggle to understand the core understanding of averages. This lesson looks into understanding the averages, range and solving problems. Interactive questions can be displayed or printed off from the PPT (including solutions).
I have used this resource with 2 low ability groups and they thoroughly enjoyed the lesson. I have incorporated a wide use of differentiation and challenge within the PPT such as mini plenaries. This lesson took me 2 hours to each on both occasions.
The Learning objectives covered are:
- I can clearly identify different types of data.
- I can use my knowledge to understand how to work out the mode, median and range.
- I can understand how to calculate the mean of any given data.
