Become a Painting

Launched by the Getty Museum this activity has taken hold of people and encouraged a deeper look in to the construction of a painting.

This hight quality, ready to use resource provides clear instruction and examples for your pupils. They are also provided with a core and challenge task that allows for differentiation whether set for a class or as a keystage task.

The core task asks pupils to become the painting. A list of paintings and information about the painting and artist is provided allowing for this resource to be used post lockdown as part of an artist history or study task.

The challenge task ask pupils to use free stop frame animation software to construct their interpretation of the painting they have chosen coming together. This is a great opportunity to develop new skills and to also have some fun!
