This KS1 phonics resource focuses on recognising and applying beginning consonant blends: sk, sc, sp, sn, sh and st.
The pack is designed to support early readers and writers through a variety of activities, making it ideal for whole-class teaching, small groups, interventions or independent work.

Children begin by exploring colourful picture cards that can be cut out and used as flashcards or for matching activities such as to the sound cards on page 2.
They then move on to identifying the correct starting blend, circling the right sound, labelling pictures, matching sounds to images, and completing a simple phonics word search linked to the vocabulary used throughout the pack.
An answer sheet is included to support quick marking and self-checking.
