This simple counting activity helps young children practise counting, bird and number recognition, and colouring skills.
Each page shows a bird, or group of birds for children to count, such as robins, owls, chicks, and other familiar birds.
The number of birds increases from 1 to 11.
Children carefully count the birds on the page, write the correct number in the box provided, and then colour the birds.
The activity encourages children to look closely, count accurately, and practise writing numbers while recognising and colouring the different birds.
It supports early maths skills such as one-to-one counting, recognising quantities, and linking numbers to amounts, while also developing fine motor control through colouring.
