Age range: 11-14
Resource type: Lesson (complete)
Lesson inspired by Miranda Kaufmann’s Black Tudors book- stories of four inspiring Black individuals and what they can tell us about Black African people in Tudor England.
This is also part of my unit of work on Tudor monarchs priced £6 for all the lessons if you would rather get more lessons on the Tudors for KS3. They are very high challenge and include a variety of retrieval tasks.
A bundle is a package of resources grouped together to teach a particular topic, or a series of lessons, in one place.
KS3 Unit of work on the Tudors- designed for Y7 but is very high challenge with comprehensive- high level and detailed resources on all Tudor monarchs. Depth focus on Henry VIII and Elizabeth. A reimagining of the traditional Tudors lessons- looks at the lives of Henry's wives through their own achievements and attributes rather than from how Henry treated them. Examines the misconceptions around black migration to Britain and black Tudors and why the Tudor women were so fierce and brave.
