These resources are designed to monitor and assess students knowledge and understanding of the structure and function of both the skeletal (Learning aim a) and muscular system (learning aim b). The first test covers unit specification from A1 to A6 and the second tests recaps aspects of LAA and covers unit specification from B1 to B8. Each test follows the same chronological structure as the actual external exam and finishes with an extended 8 mark questions.

The recap of LAA (skeletal) test is out of 67 marks and the recap of LAA and LAB (muscular) test is out of 80 marks.

LAA – Skeletal system

  1. LAA 67 mark question paper including a range of questions: multiple choice, labelling a picture(s), complete table questions, short answer and extended 8 mark question.
  2. LAA corresponding detailed mark scheme with challenging grade boundaries already calculated you for you.
  3. LAA student diagnostic student feedback sheet that they complete after the test with a step by step guide on how to improve their application.
  4. LAA Edexcel class tracking and monitoring spreadsheet to look at whole class trends
  5. LAA PPT used for my class with whole class feedback, common errors made and steps on how to improve their application

LAB – Skeletal system

  1. LAA and LAB 80 mark question paper including a range of questions: labelling a picture(s), complete table questions, short answer and extended 6 and 8 mark question.
  2. LAA and LAB corresponding detailed mark scheme with challenging grade boundaries already calculated you for you.
  3. LAA and LAB student diagnostic student feedback sheet that they complete after the test with a step by step guide on how to improve their application.
  4. LAA and LAB Edexcel class tracking and monitoring spreadsheet to look at whole class trends
  5. LAA and LAB PPT used for my class with whole class feedback, common errors made and steps on how to improve their application
  6. Additional 9 mark extended muscle fibre type question framework sheet and mark scheme.
