BTEC Tech Award Level 1/2 Health and Social Care Component 1 (New 2022 spec)- a complete teaching package to pick-up and run with. This covers what the content for A2.Environmental Factors

If you are following my SoW 2023-2024, this is Week 12, this now relates to PSA Task 2. There are homework tasks for both Level 1 and Level 2 which are adaptable to suit your need eg.date There are activities aimed at building up student notes to have with them in the PSA and capture understanding and can be referred to whilst students complete the PSA Controlled Assessment Task 2.

All the spec content relates to PIES development in a 29 slide presentation which has pause points for student contribution and breaks to complete set tasks in pairs or as individuals. The package covers the complete content for the part of the spec A2.Environmental factors. There is a comparison task for students notes and reference relating to the one factor in two different life stages as per the assessment criteria for Task 2. To finish there is a Mock Task 2 practice assessment to prepare students for their actual controlled assessment PSA.

The content covered is:-
Environmental factors:
• housing needs, conditions, location
• home environment – living with a high level of parental conflict, experiences of abuse and neglect
• exposure to pollution – air, noise and light
