Football and Maths! What more do you need for a morning activity?

This is my own, hand-crafted morning maths activity. It utilises both manual worksheets for the children and 5 interactive, drag and drop whiteboard games.

As children come into class, they will be greeted with a Formation Tactics Board on the Whiteboard. The number on the Goalkeeper’s jersey is the key number.

The Defensive formation line is the Subtraction Line, the Midfield is addition and the Attack is division.

The students have to make sure each line equals the same amount as the number on the GK jersey. Once they have completed their sheets they can have a go at the interactive game on the whiteboard.
