Cat in the Hat Glyph is a fun activity your students can use to express their creative sides while sharing a little bit about themselves and their individual interests. They can put together a fun picture of a cat wearing funny clothes, like the Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss, by following a series of directions. When it’s done, you can display your students’ work on your classroom wall. This product will work for classes celebrating Read Across America and the birthday of Dr. Seuss.

The instructions students will follow feature rhyming questions about their interests, hair color, favorite activities, and so on. There are no math problems on this particular glyph.

At the back of this booklet are templates that your students can use to help design their glyphs; otherwise, they can choose to create their own artwork by following the directions.

Also at the back of a book is a graph that you can use to compare glyph results among the students in your class.

All graphics are original and created by myself. While this glyph is created to celebrate the Cat in the Hat, the birthday of Dr. Seuss, and Read Across America, please note that no copyrights have been infringed in the making of this product.
