Challenge students to interact with the plethora of information in the film by creating a timeline, identifying with the people and groups onboard the Mayflower and putting themselves in the shoes of the Pilgrim children. Practice writing step by step directions and using time order words by explaining how Squanto taught the Pilgrims to plant corn. Spark students’ creativity by thinking about how history might have changed if the Pilgrims had decided to sail back to England.
