This is an introduction to theory of spectroscopy- NMR, IR, CHN Analysis and includes theory of Empirical Formulae. The powerpoint is all theory. It is interactive and has good examples. The Unknowns is an activity to be used after the theory has been taught. Each student/pair can be issued with an unknown compounds spectral data with a challenge to working it out. Answers are included at the end. A lesson plan is also included.
