I love the idea of exploring these two stories - I just want to ask what people think about reading and analysing the Lot story with Year 8 and Year 9 classes. If you have already used these resources with either of these year groups - how did it go?

Hi TrevelyanInq, I used to use this with Year 9 classes that at the start of the year were tough - they really didn't want to study RE (they thought it was going to be boring). I made sure I gave the loaves and fishes to all the kids I knew were engaged already - and Lot to to the kids that thought it would be dull. Then I stood there and watched their faces change as they went - 'whaaaaaat??? No!!!! This is not from the Bible!!!' After that they wanted to know more! Then on to some guts and violence in the next lesson etc.. I admit it won't woork for every class, but it was a tactic that worked for mine :)_
