Christmas Math Mystery – Case of The Zombie Elves (GRADE 5 US Common Core Aligned) – Engage and motivate your students during math time with this fun Christmas activity!


A great math detective is needed to quickly solve which cure will heal the zombie elves of the virus!

There are 5 clues to crack to solve the mystery:

Clue 1: Adding Fractions with Unlike Denominators (Simplifying Answers Required)
Clue 2: Multiplying Decimals by Powers of 10
Clue 3: Convert Units of Measurement (Length) – Customary (in, ft, yd, mi) and Metric (mm, cm, m, km) Options are provided to choose from. Answers are different, but clue revealed is the same.
Clue 4: Dividing Whole Numbers - Word Problems
Clue 5: Convert Mixed Number Fractions to Improper Fractions
