WHAT IS INCLUDED

The four levels are alternative task demands, not four compulsory tasks for every learner.

• L1 / Early KS1: 5 words; 7 x 7 grid; across only; picture cues.
• L2 / KS1: 7 words; 9 x 9 grid; across and down.
• L3 / Early KS2: 9 words; 12 x 12 grid; across, down and diagonally.
• L4 / KS2: 10 words; 15 x 15 grid; any direction.

HOW TO USE
Print one chosen search. Pupils can circle, highlight or point while an adult marks. Keep the answer grids separate.
Finish with the next-step phrase or sentence. The search alone does not demonstrate grammatical understanding.

SEN ACCESS
Choose by current readiness, not age. Read prompts aloud and allow speech, sign, AAC, typing or adult scribing when handwriting is not the target. Adult support may be needed; this is not a promise of independent access for every learner.
