A complete, exam-ready pack of 40 fully worked circle questions for Edexcel GCSE (9-1) Mathematics Foundation tier (1MA1), covering circumference and area of a circle and their everyday applications. Every question is solved step by step, in plain language with no jargon, so a student can follow the reasoning line by line and reproduce it under exam pressure.

The pack builds progressively from Easy to Challenging. Easy questions drill the core skills: circumference from a radius or a diameter, area from a radius or a diameter, working in terms of pi, and half and quarter circles. Standard questions move into reverse problems (finding a radius or diameter from a given circumference or area), perimeters and areas of semicircles, arcs and sectors, composite shapes, rings and real-world contexts such as wheels and paths. Challenging questions bring it together: running tracks, Norman windows, washers, reverse sector problems and ratio of areas to lengths.

Clear labelled diagrams accompany the geometric questions. Each worked solution names the mark-scheme marks (M1, A1, B1, P1) exactly where an Edexcel examiner awards them, and flags the classic slips such as using the diameter in place of the radius or forgetting the straight edge of a semicircle. Ideal for revision, homework, cover lessons and one-to-one tuition.
