This is an entirely desk based Scheme of Work, with 14 lessons on how you take a performance from Page to Stage. It is focused on ‘A Midsummer Nights Dream’, and includes extracts from the script and notes for teachers on how different areas can be taught.

It goes from understanding Shakespeare and the Iambic Pentameter to Designing Set, Costume and Lighting.

This Scheme of Work was designed for Year 9, but would work with any Key Stage 3 group. NOTE: It does include ONE practical assessment, which is individually rehearsed and desk based and could be skipped out if you aren’t comfortable.
