This Macro-enabled spreadsheet can help to analyse the performance of your students based on your predicted grades and the target grades of the students.
Once you have entered the appropriate information into the 2 DataSheet tabs, one click of a button produces a detailed breakdown of the performance of your year group against a number of key performance measures including progress 8.
The progress 8 table is editable for when newer versions get published.
There is a (free) PDF that’s downloadable from this site with a variety of screenshots of the analysis and what discussions it could lead to. Please feel free to download that and read through it.
If you purchase this file, there are instructions to help enter the data (although you must ensure that you enter the EBAC subjects and the non-EBAC subjects in the correct places). It will come pre-populated with some dummy data for you to look at as well.
Note: This only works with GCSE grades (both A*-G and 1-9 grades). If you wish to discuss how this could be adapted for schools who do other qualifications, then please leave a message and I’ll try to help out.
