This lesson covers:
•Content covered on the different types of combustions, the environmental and health impacts of the products made from combustion and the difference between the combustion of alcohol in terms of environmental impact
•A task where students write the balanced symbol equations for complete and incomplete combustion, explain the advantage of combusting alcohol and practice an 8 mark evaluation question
•The supply and demand issue of hydrocarbons is introduced followed by an explanation into what cracking is and the 2 ways it can be achieved
•Followed by a task where students complete a gap fill summary on crackign and complete cracking equations
•A brief introduction on the uses of CFC’s and their impact on the ozone layer followed by a comprehension task that gives greater information and application about the issues and solutions of CFC’s.

NO PRINTING REQUIREMENTS- you may wish to print the comprehension however it is also big enough that it can be displayed depending on your classroom
