KS3 Art Composite Portraits mini project
Looking at the work of Arcimbaldo, students will produce a series of composite portraits in response to the artist.

Lesson 1: Introduce the work of Arcimbaldo, pupils will create a colour pencil copy of one of the artist’s portraits.

Lesson 2: Students will sketch a composite portrait design.

Lesson 3: Students will produce a creative portrait collage in response to the artist.

Lesson 4: Students will then draw their collage and add colour using either oil pastel or acrylic paint.

Resources: included are photos for pupils to use to create their collage response, as well as pictures of the artist’s work for students to draw from.
