Fun activity game which I've used when teaching long multiplication.Game can be played in pairs or as a whole class game e.g. boys v girls, where students work out the answer on mini-whiteboards. Student chooses a sum and then works out the answer. If correct they colour in the square or place their counter on the square. If it's incorrect and partner has it correct then the partner can colour it and now it's also partner's turn. Winner is first to get 4 in a row (horizontally/vertically or diagonally). Students are allowed calculator to check the answer, when game is played in pairs, or teacher can check the answer.
