Use this resource at the start of a focus on counting in constant steps forwards and backwards across 100 from any given number. It can also be used with a focus on counting in 10s. I have provided two versions of the sheets, one with learning objectives and one without. The learning objectives are based on the UK National Curriculum. The ‘Counting in 10s’ sheet is generally used as a whole class starter.

This resource has been created with variance in mind, in order to develop children’s fluency. I have also included an ability appropriate problem solving and/or reasoning task to encourage children to apply their knowledge. These resources are differentiated.
