Resource based on the edexcel 2016/17 spec (9-1)

Note - I have included some questions on the powerpoint but you will need to use edexcel worksheets for this lesson.

Starter: nice straight forward starter on the powerpoint which gets pupils thinking about what would make a coke bottle explode and why.

Main: all key information on powerpoints. Starts off with kinetic theory recaps then talks about absolute zero, kelvin, temperature and pressure. Includes graphs, matching definitions task, progress check questions and task using edexcel homework worksheets.

Plenary: two plenaries, one to summarise the lesson, the other to reflect back over the whole topic and evaluate their own work
