Creative Writing Picture Stories

Creative Writing Picture Stories is a simple and flexible writing resource for children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.

Each page contains a picture stimulus with space for pupils to write, allowing them to describe what they can see, write key words or phrases, or form simple sentences based on the image.

The open-ended format makes the resource suitable for pupils working at different stages of writing development, from emergent writers in Reception to more confident writers in Year 2.

This resource can be used as an independent writing task, within guided writing sessions, or as part of intervention and home learning.
