►How to Use◄
Struggling to get your child to comply to even the simplest requests, such as getting dressed in the morning or eating all of their dinner in the evening? Then this product is for you! Children of all ages who have difficulty completing tasks will benefit from this daily routine visual schedule. This visual prompt aids in keeping your child or student on task and behaving appropriately by providing them with simple, concrete reminders of the next task they will be required to complete. It is helpful for children who struggle with attention and hyperactivity, as well as children on the autism spectrum who struggle with rigidity and changes to their routine.
Use the pictures provided in this download to map out your child’s schedule by cutting the individual pictures out, placing velcro on the back of each of them, and placing the pictures on the board, based on your child’s routine. Once a task is completed, allow your child to remove the picture from the board. Do this until each task has been completed.
This visual schedule can be adapted for use in the home and school environment. It is roughly the same size as an iPad, so it is compact enough to transport in order to assist in generalizing behavior across multiple settings, such as going to the grocery store or running errands.
