Support children’s emotional wellbeing with 5 gentle, child-friendly check-ins covering feelings, mindfulness, kindness, self-regulation and reflection.
This Wellbeing & Feelings Check-In Pack is designed to help primary-aged children pause, recognise how they are feeling, regulate their emotions and develop positive wellbeing habits. The activities can be used as morning check-ins, SEL activities, calm-corner resources, pastoral support, transition activities or individual wellbeing interventions.
The pack contains 5 different printable check-in worksheets, allowing teachers and parents to vary the focus rather than using the same emotional check-in each day:
Positive Thought Check-In – positive self-talk, a 5-4-3-2-1 grounding exercise, feelings identification, goal setting and gratitude.
Safe Place Check-In – safe-place visualisation, candle breathing, identifying supportive people or things, feelings and gratitude.
Kindness Check-In – kindness challenges, mindful listening, recognising kindness, emotional awareness and reflection.
Rest & Reset Check-In – helps children recognise their energy levels and body signals, choose an appropriate reset strategy and create a simple reset plan.
Feelings Reflection & Looking Ahead – encourages children to reflect on their day, identify their strongest emotion, recognise something they did well, identify support and set a gentle intention for tomorrow.
The pack also includes a Calm Body Check-In cover page, introducing the themes of body awareness, breathing, feelings, needs, gratitude and reflection.
Ideal for primary/elementary classrooms, wellbeing lessons, SEL, PSHE, counselling, calm corners, morning work, emotional regulation, pastoral care, homeschool and SEND support.
