In the spooky village of Darkwood, estate agent Mr. Peters discovers a mysterious challenge: spend one night in Darkwood Manor for £10,000. Alongside a group of villagers, including the eccentric Mrs. Brown, brave Tom, sceptical Fiona, and the comic duo Polly and Jack, he ventures into the creaking house.
Inside, strange noises, flickering lights, and mysterious whispers lead them to uncover the truth: the manor is haunted by the ghost of Lord Darkwood, the original owner. Only by understanding his story can they release him and bring peace to the house.
Perfect for Drama lessons, this short play combines suspense, humour, and ensemble performance, with flexible casting and opportunities for narration and atmospheric staging.
